Southend United Community & Educational Trust is officially offering unconditional places to all Year 11 students intending to join the Football and Education Scholarship Programme from September 2020.
The unconditional offer also applies to all current students who have already enrolled.
The Football and Education Scholarship Programme combines academic studies with practical football experience, with students learning within a professional football club environment at Roots Hall, as well as representing Southend United in Football and Futsal matches across the country.
The Programme provides the opportunity for young people to work towards a career in the sports industry or progress to University.
James Atkins, Football and Education Scholarship Programme student, commented:
“Joining the Programme is one of the best decisions I’ve made so I’d say definitely go for it!”
